To maintain good separation efficiency, a separator requires control over its liquid level and pressure. The traditional method for controlling the liquid level and pressure of separators adopts constant-pressure control technology.
In the variable-pressure liquid level control of a separator, a float level controller is used to drive the oil and gas control valves, enabling their coordinated operation. This controls the flow rates of crude oil and associated gas to adjust the liquid level in the separator, without controlling the separator's pressure.
The variable-pressure liquid level control method can significantly reduce the throttling of the oil-gas outlet valves, lower the separator's pressure, and improve separation efficiency.
Oil-gas separators and oil-gas-water three-phase separators are widely used in oilfield transfer stations and central gathering stations. To maintain good separation efficiency, a separator requires control over its liquid level and pressure.
